Hi,
It's been a while since we updated our profile, we've been very busy too! Young Runaways made it through to the final 12 of the Glastonbury 2008 New Talent Competition, we travelled down to Pilton to play infront of a panel made up of Michael & Emily Eavis, Huw Stevens, Paul Rees and many more. After a few days we got a call saying that we'd been offered a set on the Left Field Stage!! Poom! We're made up and can't wait to get down there and play!
There have also been a few switch up's within the band, Lucy has joined to play violin, keyboards and vocals and Paul has returned to help us out with drums. Here are two new tunes that we've finished recently, The Hometown Slowdown' and 'Ropeswings'.
P.S we also got a stonker of a review over in Dubai where Rich Round has been repping us, it's on our Myspace page go have a look!
This is our latest recording, we hope you like it! It was recorded and produced by Matt and Myself up in Matt's studio in Wolves.
More recordings to follow shortly
Well! Chris our drummer should, God willing return from India on Monday! We will then be starting playing full band shows again. They will be as follows:

27th September - The Cavern Club, Matthew Street, Liverpool
30th September - The Rock Garden, Covent Garden, London
We hope that you can make it down to a few to see us!!
Cheers,
The Endgame boys

'Sup Playa's, After one final mammoth 12 hour non-stop session on Sunday we have finished the new record. We're getting all three tracks mastered at Turan Audio in the coming week, so all being well you will be hearing it soon!! We are now suffering from slight depression after birthing the record, it's been the object of our attention for about 3 months so it's weird that it doesn't need us anymore :-( Oh well, we're expecting again, the drum tracks have already been layed down for another new CD so we will be nurturing that through September and October while playing as many shows as possible. In Love, The Endgame xxx |
I did my vocal parts on our new record yesterday, It's sounding good so far. Back in the studio on Sunday and Monday to put the finer touches on the vocals and the mix.
We're playing an acoustic show at the Miller (London Bridge) tonight if anyones about.
I'll keep you all updated with progress on the record!
Cheers,
G
Here's some of the pics we took over the weekend.
1) Classic semi-moody, pensive band photo. Taken at Decibel Studios, Chalgrove
2) All slightly confused and tired. Taken in the Miller, London Bridge
3) After the show at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden. Happy (apart from Jay)!
Should be a few more to follow shortly!
Cheers,
The Endgame
Well,
We played at Jealous of the Daylight at the Rock Garden in Covent Garden. Absolutely cracking show, loads of people there, great atmosphere and met some good bands. Thanks to those who did come along, you are stars!Hopefully we'll be back playing there before too long.
On Saturday night our song 'She Won't Be Coming Home' opened the 'Download' session on BBC Radio Oxford and you can download the show at http://www.bbc.co.uk/oxford/local_radio/
There will be a break in gigs for a little while as Chris is heading to India for six weeks. Although myself, Matt and Jay will be appearing at the Chalgrove Festival to play an Acoustic set on Saturday August 4th in the Decibel Tent.
See you soon,
Gray & the Endgame
Aight,
Just to bring you up to speed with our world. We've been hiding away over the last couple of weeks writing our new set, we've got a total of five new songs to add to our show since the last gig. Can't wait until the 28th when we can play them. Style wise the new songs are a progression along the same line as Don't Deplore Me & Matthew We'll Make a Man of You Yet, so get your dancing shoes on ready. :-)
Recording starts on the next CD on the 17th June with Chris doing his drum tracks & Jay laying down some bass. It'll most likely be another 4 tracker including 'Matthew We'll Make a Man of You Yet' & three new ones.
For those of you in Londres, our gig at the Miller on London Bridge has been moved to Saturday 14th July.
We're off to Amsterdam for the weekend,
Speak soon lovers,
xxx
P.S Anyone a good photographer? We need to do some proper band pics. Let us know.
